Actor Jeremy Renner suffered “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries” after a New Year’s Day snow plowing accident, a spokesperson for the actor said Monday evening.
Renner had surgery Monday and “remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition,” the spokesperson said.

On January 1, 2023, Renner was hospitalized after an accident while plowing snow at his residence in a rural area near Mt. Rose Highway, suffering blunt chest trauma as well as injuries to the musculoskeletal system.
He was flown by helicopter to a local hospital. A representative said he is in “critical but stable condition”. As of January 2, he had undergone surgery and remained in that condition.
