Government of Pakistan Ministry of climate change Vacancy announcement (Technical advisor MP-
1)Applications are invited from Pakistan nationals for appointed to the position of technical advisor(MP-1) in M/o climate changeIslamabad on contact basis for a period of three years. The requisite criteria are as under:-
Qualification and Eligibility Criteria:
a) Ph.D/M.Phill or Master’s Degree in climate change/Environmental sciences/Renewable Energy/Natural resource management/Environmental economics and Police/climate finance or any other relevant disciplines from HEC recognized national/international highly-impact journal will be given preference.
b) At least fourteen years professional experience for candidates with Ph.d and eighteen years experience for candidates with Master’s Degree in relevant field [including three year of senior management level Position], particularly in the area of policy formulation strategic planning conceiving/implementing development initiatives With specific focus on climate change. Qualification in project management, climate finance, environmental law, sustainable development initiatives and IT will be considered as an added advantage.
c) Comprehensive understanding of the climate change Scenarios on national and international level.
d) Demonstrated knowledge and practical working experience of multidisciplinary policy/strategy formulation, national planning in the field of environmental management and mainstreaming climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives, livelihood improvement, biodiversity conservation or natural resource management in development countries.
e) Demonstrated ability for impact oriented specific contribution through original research publication (S) in national/international high-impact Journal.
f) skills and knowledge to build linkages between environmental, energy, climate change sustainable development goals, (SDGs) macroeconomics policiy, poverty reduction and sustainable development.
g) Extensive conceptual and practical knowledge of operating and strategic principles of international donors and UN agencies.
h) Expensive of working and collaborating with Stakeholders including government; international donors, INGOs civil society etc.
i) Demonstrated ability of analyzing data and preparing analytical/technical reports.
j) Experience of drafting various climate change related bills/legal documents.
k) Age limit: 62 years, Quota: open merit .
