CCTV shows 28-year-old shooting as doors before climbing through shattered glass to get inside Christian primary school
Nashville police has released footage showing the moment school shooter Audrey Hale drove calmly up to a Christian primary school and approached its doors, armed with an assault rifle.
The 28-year-old arrived at the Covenant School in an affluent neighbourhood of the city in a grey Honda just before 10am on Monday.
Police have speculated Hale, who had reportedly only recently come out as transgender, bore some “resentment” towards the private Presbyterian school.
In the 30 minutes before police confronted and shot Hale dead, the assailant was able to unleash terror on the small private school, killing three young students and three staff.
